I was going through the What the Duck archives (a must for photo aficionados), and saw this strip. So very true. I remember how excited and inspired I was when starting out in photography - all with a cheap camera. But I felt I was always limited by my gear. Now I have some decent equipment, yet I rarely shoot. Why is that? Photography is still fun, but there's just something missing.

I went to Moab, Utah with a co-worker this summer, and it was the first time in a while where I felt both significant and insignificant about my role in this life. For the first time in my life, I truly saw stars (it's like you're in a movie or something). It was an amazing trip, especially photographically. Maybe I just need to get out more. Who knows... I still want a new camera, though...
